Paris - Bee, Blue, Yellow Airport Shuttles
I prefer taking a shuttle rather than a cab or RER from CDG into Paris. I find it relaxing, and I actually like the few stops they make, and cheapskate me doesn't have to worry about the meter clicking if we get caught in traffic
I also like that sometimes I get to see hotels that I know by name only.
On the return trip to CDG, we have taken shuttles and cabs and once the REH. We usually wait until the end of the trip to decide, between a shuttle and a taxi, so that part is not set in stone.
I refuse to use Paris Airport Shuttle ever again. No problem from CDG, but on two return trips to the airport, the stupid drivers couldn't find our apartments. It took forever and several frantic calls to their office to get them to the right locations. One was right across from the river on Ile St. Louis - now how tough could that be??
Anyway ... I'm trying to decide between Bee, Blue and Yellow only. Price-wise they are about the same, so that is not a factor. I am only interested in their service back to CDG. Any experiences pro or con would be greatly appreciated.
Any credit card problems with any of them - We have to reserve with a credit card, but we prefer to pay with euros at the time. I want to know if they have charged your credit card, even though you paid in cash.
We're leaving in 3 weeks (EEEEEEK last minute panic is beginning to set in), and I want to make my reservation ASAP.
Thanks in advance,
Nina

Of course I have already done a search on all of the companies, but I am looking for an easy tie breaker from you guys, and more recent experiences.
We will be arriving on Sat. 12/23, and I expect CDG to be even nutsier than it already is.

Nina...our experience using Yellow from Paris hotel to CDG was very positive, though I can't speak to the credit card arrangements. We paid 36€ total for two pax.Our hotel (Britannique) booked it for us two days before departure. We were requested to pay 12€ up front, & the remaining 24€ was paid directly to the driver once we reached the airport.(don't know, ergo, about using a ccard, & whether the 'deposit' arrangement is only used when hotels are the middlemen). Yellow assigned our pick-up time, based on our flight info.Van arrived on time, driver was courteous/professional, and best of all, a good driver !

Nina...We used the Yellow Shuttle in September and were very pleased. Cost was 36E each way for mom and me and we paid in cash. I would definitely use them again. Going into Paris we were the only ones in the van and going back to the airport we made two stops on the way which did not take much time. Hope this helps you.

I wouldn't use Bee again. They left us stranded at the airport for a really long time. Our driver was excellent--it was the guy I was hollering at on the phone 3 times that was so aggravating.
He kept lying to me, saying I didn't read the confirming email properly so I wasn't waiting in the right spot. (false) He also said our driver had been there and left because we weren't where we supoosed to be (also false).
If it was our driver I could deal with next time I'd use them again. Oh well.
Have a great trip!!!

Great answers, thanks so much. It looks like we'll use Yellow, at least for the intial pick up from CDG. If we decide to use them back to the airport, instead of a cab, we'll call a few days before from the Paris apartment and reserve.
I would imagine that all of the shuttle companies give preferred service to the hotels so that they will use them exclusively. From our past experiences, when you reserve on your own for the return trip to the airport, they aren't always as reliable.
Thanks again for the quick responses.

I also would not use Bee. We just used them over thanksgiving. they were okay to get to the hotel except we had to wait FOREVER for other passengers. But they never came to pick us up for the airport and didn't answer their phone (sunday morning). We got stuck paying 50 E for a taxi so as not to be late.

Looks like that is one decision that can cross off of my list - I'll go with Yellow. If they don't show or there is a major problem at the airport, we'll just take a cab.
Ira, thanks for the suggestion, but I always do a search before I ask a specific question. I wanted and got recent experiences which helped me break the three way tie. I never worry about getting into Paris, but am a worrywort about leaving.
Bee got good recommendations when I searched, and I was leaning toward them, but thanks to lucygirl and radiofanatic and their recent bad experiences, I won't be using them.

Nina, I agree, my recent search on this board before I left for my trip was the reason I picked Bee - I only saw good recommendations - I was really shocked about being forgotten upon leaving. Thankfully, I asked for the shuttle about 4 hours before the flight - we got to the airport a little less than three hours before the flight, and believe me, every minute of that was used there.

radiofanatic, I know exactly how you felt when Bee didn't show up. We went through the same thing when Paris Airport Shuttle left us standing on the street with all of our luggage and no way to get back into the locked apartment on Ile St. Louis.
Fortunately the building manager saw us and let us call them - 3 or 4 times on her phone. They were almost l/2 late. The driver was totally lost and had no idea where we were. We couldn't have been in a more obvious location, if we had been any closer to the Seine, we would have been in it.
We always call the night before and the morning of the departure pick up, to confirm the time and the location - for all the good that does!
When I buy my apartment on St. Louis, I guess I will have to buy/lease a limo and hire a full time chauffeur. It's so easy to spend money that you don't have

In October I used http://www.paris-blue-airport-shuttle.fr/
They responded to all my questions by email clearly and promptly. They arrived early, and waited for me to get ready. There was one other pick up on the way to CDG. The fare was 29.50 euros for one; parties of two get a great deal.
