By Rail - maybe not as cheap as some EasyJet flights but that's if you can get them. Anyway $74 for rail fare and berth in T-4 (four person compartment; two bunks on each side of aisle) on the Elipsos (Talgo) Hotel Train takes you from Paris to Barcelona overnight - you also save a night on hotel so maybe better than the plane. A Double - two person compartment with private toilet runs $124 per person - these fares are Elipsos Book Early Fare requiring at least 14 days advance purchase - can do up to 60 days in advance - and a $15 booking fee. Marketed in US by RailEurope and their agents (such as BETS 800-441-9413; whom i've dealt with your years and highly recommend for their expertise). You can also get a Double Gran Class for $174 per person (all these include rail fare and sleeping accommodation) - if you want to go luxury route and have toilet and shower in your compartment with breakfast and dinner in the restaurant car included! These book early fares are 40% off regular fares and may be limited supply on some dates.

If you don't have the luck to find a cheap flight, coach travel is always the cheapest. www.eurolines.com
