Paris -Apartment Rental Web Sites Needed

Need rental site recommendations ASAP.
We have used Vacation In Paris site for past 4 years but need some really good alternatives for this "last minute" Fall 2009 trip. Not interested in the high end/luxury
rentals. Have misplaced my file of web-sites. Thanks.

Personally, I always use VIP. However, I think we have a long thread on this subject. so perhaps a search will turn it up. Check on TA too.

Here is the link to the Paris apartment thread:

http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...ent-thread.cfm

If you list your requirements--budget, number of people/bedrooms--I'm sure you'll get some suggestions.

www.centreparis.com has budget apartments and has had good reviews.

I used, and liked, both
www.lodgis.fr (really an intermediary with the owner, but they do contracts and something for that, it was very professional)

www.locaflat.com

The latter is a real Paris rental agency in the 15th arr. but they had good payment terms (you can pay from US by bank check at an exchange rate which was very close to interbank rate, I figured it out -- they tell you the amount to send, for the deposit, anyway). I had to go to the agency to pick up the key. They have a wide variety of apartments, not usually upscale.

If you want hand-holding, these might not be the best for you.

You have made a great decision in using parisbestlodge.com. We used them last year and were very pleased. You will probably have the gorgeous Thierry looking after you. We called him to say that we didn't have an ironing board in our apartment. The next day he arrived with one under his arm, but picture this.......... he arrived on his motor bike with the ironing board tucked under his arm!!!

Which apartment did you choose?

Very frustrating all the sites and apartments only renting by the week or month. We are staying for 4 nights. Hopefully, found something that will work on Vacation In Paris. Best site I could find.

We just stayed at an apartment through ParisBestLodge and had a wonderful experience. It was the "La Coupole" apartment near Montparnasse.
