@john127: I misspelled. It is rentalfrance.com that I sent request to.
@triciafromoz: you are most welcome. I will definitely post what I decide. You know I would have been so lost without this forum. I have done our family's vacation planning to Cancun,Puerto Rico, Disney World, India, but nothing as daunting as this one since it involves three countries with so many variables.

Guys I am back... my account was suspended apparently for confusion... I was not sure how to write back to all you wonderful people... anyway finally it is resolved. I thought I have to plan everything without your help
@john127: Yes Pascal responded, however they do not have anything available for us. He said he had responded to me before. But I never got it, it was not in my spam box either.
All, I will post a few more apartment I have short listed a little later for your feedback. Thanks everyone!

I haven't used any of these particular apartments or services, but I did stay next to the 2nd in your list, at 4 rue de la jussienne in a VIP apartment a couple of years ago. The neighborhood is great and you are a three minute walk to Chatelt-Les Halles station which has many metro lines running through it. Also, just a 5 minute walk to the Louvre. The Montorgueil market 1.5 blocks east is wonderful.

I haven't stayed in any of these apartments but I looked briefly at all 10 of your listings while waiting for my husband to get his act together to go out.
Some general feedback:
How large are your children? Several listings mention camp beds which are usually narrow cots with thin mattresses.
#2 is a good location. Believe it also furnishes camp beds.
#3 also looks to be a good location and has two double beds plus single sofa bed--maybe not ideal but better than camp beds and probably fine for kids if two can share the second double.
#4 Marais--this one has some pluses i.e. the courtyard with outdoor shower ??? and location BUT take a good look at the mezzanine. How much height clearance is there and are there guard rails of any sort?
#5 Strange space--looks dark.
#6 Only 1 double and 1 sofa bed listed--how does the apt. sleep 5?
#7 Advert says sleeps 4
#8 Advert also says sleeps 4, Monceau is a pretty area would not be my first choice for a short stay
#9 "Terrace" shown but it's really a walled courtyard, still nice extra space
#10 I like this area. Blvd Raspail is a busy street but description says apartment faces the courtyard. The coffee table which turns into a bed will be small but should work for a child with the other two on the double fouton. Looks like there is only a handheld shower head in the bathroom.
Hope my comments help. When you narrow this down, ask the owner or agency lots of questions. All are small spaces but are economical and should be all right for four days although avoid those which say "sleep 4"--no way you can squeeze another person in and you might have an issue if the owner/vendor checks on occupancy.
If you want to be near the major sites, your numbers 2, 9 or 10 would be the ones I would look at more closely.

I've used a mezzanine bedroom, hated it.
It was hot even though we had air conditioning, it wouldn't cool off the bed area. The stairs are steep, especially in the middle of the night for a bathroom run.
I'm kind of a worry wart about kids, that would seem like an accident waiting to happen depending on their age.

we stayed at http://www.vrbo.com/250968 and absolutely loved it, stairs and all. It is in a great location right near Rue Mouffetard Market.
I know we will stay there again as the owner was so friendly and made us feel like old friends...

Junk - i think we could help more if you gave us more info: how old are your kids, have you been to paris, what is your price range, when are you going.
My approach was to find reputable agencies (using this board) and the limit my search to within those agencies. To me, the agency is as important as the apartment.
I know that vacationinparis gets good reviews here.
I used this agency with great success. So did friends. It just all depends on your budget.

I like #9 and #10 the best. They are larger and nicer looking than the others and look more practical and safer for children. #9 gives you the extra terrace area for the children if the weather is right, but the location of #10 is more convenient for getting around and as has been mentioned, is close to the Luxembourg garden. I would pick #10 if I had to choose.

I really like #9 and that's an area I personally enjoy--not wall-to-wall tourists but still convenient for sightseeing.
There's a little park, Square du Temple, on Rue du Temple at Rue de Bretagne with a playground, which might be nice for your children if they're young. I spent a relaxing afternoon there last spring:

I just had to laugh when I read the "Plus" description on the "Beau-Paris" apartment when it's described as being , "next to the Champs Elysees and Eiffel Tower". How is that possible when the Eiffel Tower is south of the river in the 7th and the Champs Elysees is north of the river in the 8th? Happy Travels!

I've stayed in Paris with my two children twice - both times we stayed in the 7th, close to rue Cler. This area is close to everything and great for the kids. It would be perfect for a four day stay.
My suggestion is that you search for apartments on VRBO (www.vrbo.com), this is my go-to spot for rentals just about anywhere. You can search by neighborhood and also specify other search criteria. Once you find some that you like, you can post them here and I'm sure you'll be able to get some feedback. Bonne chance!

Re Robert 's comment, above--it is no longer correct that ParisPerfect owns all their own flas.It used to be the case, but alas, not now. In fact, some of the litings on their website can be found on other rental sites!! YOu can ASK for the ones that Philippe and Madelyn actually own, but there are others now for which they serve as a listing agency.
I recommend the 6th or 7th arrondissment. Do check VacatininParis for flats.Afriend rented from tthem and was very happy, they get generally very good reviews, their prices are reasonable, and are listed in $$ not euros.
