Paris accommodation - what a find!!!

ANYONE looking for a VERY cheap (that's cheap/budget + not nasty) apartment in central Paris needs to visit a website that I came across after days and days of web page sifting!! All of the reviews I've read about these apartments have been really good. I've just booked one for a few nights for our family of four and it is only costing us 200 euro for the lot. Basic, clean, cheaply furnished, very central and most self catering kitchens + your own bathroom - it's all one needs!! Many apartments are no more than 50-60euro/night!!! I have to share it with you:
www.centreparis.com
They have a very good variety of apartments in different areas at really good prices that I haven't seen elsewhere on the net. Their website is a little tricky to navigate, but once you get into the swing of it, it's ok.
Before I booked, I checked out google maps and did a virtual walk up the street where the apartment we were interested in is located - just to get a feel for the area. Very swish.
Booking was fine with very good and prompt communication.
All the best

It's a goodie isn't it! Great/affordable prices for individual and families travelling to Paris.
Amazing how much time it takes to filter through the potential rip offs. I'm so glad that we started looking long before our trip.

Ronael, Thanks so much for this link. I've been looking at available apartments for the past 3 weeks and none compare in price/size/location. And, they all look so clean and new! I'm curious how the booking process went? Do you mind mentioning which district you booked in. Thanks.

Ronael, what am I doing wrong? No matter what I put in, I get the response "No Results for your search".. I thought maybe I was putting too low a price, or too populare a district (4 5 6), so I put in 100€+ and "one room" and 17th... and STILL got "no results for your search." Perhaps there's something I neglected to do?? I would appreciate any input.

I read about this site as well here. Their website is not the easiest to use....they only have apartments in the arrondisements with a red dot on the home page as far as I can figure out. You best bet is to pick only one of the choices, price, type, district and search on that - it seems easier.

Thanks. Others have posted that website both here and on tripadvisor. I know that I've posted it several times both here and there. I've never used the agency though. I posted it as another option for folks. Happy Travels!

I'm not sure I'd care to squeeze 4 people into 30 square metres, but as long as you can work with that....

Scroll down to the map and click on one of the arr with a red dot- it will bring up a list of all the flats in that area.

Thanks for the link Ronael! There are some very cute places in the 11th for only 60 euro a night- one of them even has a bathtub.

I suggest you to give a look to the site of the company I use always when I go to Paris. They rent apartments especially in Montmartre but also in other areas of Paris. The cost is the same of an hotel but the service is perfect. The people are nice, the apartments are all services with internet connections, cable TV and phone.
I have spend some nice weekends in their apartments and I think I will continue to do it: http://www.paris-apartment-rent.com/

We just back for a 4 night, 5 day stay in Paris and used the site bed-and-breakfast-in-paris.com These are B&B rooms/apartments in peoples home and you get a great selection. We use Emmanule and James who have a loft like space upstairs in their large Paris apartment in the 6th district. This was the most wonderful area we could have stayed in. There was a small living room area, bath, and loft sleep area. We were only 2 streets away from the Seine River, had a small grocery store, deli, and fruit market just down the street. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and provided tasty crossiants, bread, cereal and a great jam each morning; I asked where the jam came from and brought some home with me. Emmanuele is french but speaks prefect english and James is from the U.S. Try this site and you will not be disappointed, we had 30 different homes to choose from and I feel there is something there for everyone.

I will DEFINATELY report back. Some of the other links do indeed have fantastic accommodation - but nothing as cheap as www.centreparis.com Payment was via Paypal and therefore very secure. I've had confirming emails and excellent communication from them. I know that some of the apartments may seem small, but for all intense and purposes, it's simply a base for us. Somewhere to sleep, shower and cook meals. The central locations are truely an added bonus. Our plan is to be out and about. We don't need luxury or heaps of space. I think they are perfect.

Breeds, which apartments in the Marais have you rented through rental-paris? We are looking for a place for next May and I want to be located in the Marais. I have looked online at the place on Rue Vieille du Temple--looks like a good apartment for more than 2 people and I like that location.

Thanks.
