Johanna, yes he was and has acted in several film but he's most noted as a director. In 1995 at the age of 28 he dirested La Haine and it was the winner in Cannes. It starred

Nope, sorry.
The MTV fast-cuts are distracting. I like to see an image long enough to absorb <i>everything</i> that's going on in it, and this director is as annoying as the producers of commercials that use the fast cuts and hand-held camera work.
