PANTHEON HOTEL IN PARIS
Can you provide an address? I have been to Paris more than 60 times. The address will have a postcode (ZIP code) of 5 digits: 75NNN where 75=Paris and the rest the district (arondissement). This will at least tell you how central the hotel is or whether in a reasonable district. All hotels in France have to be classified by the State. 3 stars would be a good medium hotel with a bathroom for each bedroom. A 2 star or less not certain to have private bathroom

the pantheon is located at 19 pl. du Pantheon and since the "zip" code is 75005 i think that it is in the 5 arrondissement. They say that they have double paned windows and that they have rooms overlooking their courtyard or garde. do you think that this would be quiet and reasonably located? did you ever hear of the hotel or know anything about it?
thanks.
thanks.

In your mail note you stated you had been to Paris 6 times, I guess this kinda
makes you an expert on Paris. Can you recommed a good hotel close to the
Louve. I currently have reservations at the Best Western and Regents Gardens.
Do you know anything about either of these hotels.

It's the Hotel Du Pantheon. I stayed there last May and enjoyed it. It's a 3-star hotel. The management is very nice, the rooms are small bt charming - I had a room with exposed beams in the ceiling and a view of the Pantheon. The rate for my single (double bed) was FF 670/night, breakfast not included. Breakfast was in a cellar and cost FF 45. It's within easy walking distance of the Jardins du Luxembourg, the metro and many restaurants.

we're wondering if anyone out there can tell us the difference between the hotel du pantheon and the hotel des grands hommes? We know they're both managed by the same woman... and they're both 18th Century homes... and I think they're right next door to each other. Any advice appreciated.
