Pairs Hotels - Louvre Forum vs. La Bourdonnais

I will be traveling to Paris for the first time in early October. I have made reservations at two hotels: Hotel Louvre-Forum and Hotel La Bourdonnais. Which is the nicer of the two? Which is the most centrally located to sights, restaurants, shops? Thanks! All suggestions appreciated.

Beth,

We stayed at the La Bourdonnais last September for several days. It was very nice and the staff was friendly and very helpful. They helped arrange a tour for us led by a couple of young frenchman in a van (about six people on the tour). This was great. You got to know your guide and he was able to answer everyone's questions. The hotel is small and has a great breakfast each morning. Very convenient location. We walked to the Eifel Tower.
Enjoy your trip. Paris is one in a million.

The tour we took in Paris was called Voyages CityScope. The cost was 930 franc or about 150.00
american dollars. It was a really nice tour. It lasted about three hours. We toured most of the city. It gave us an overview of the city before we set out on our own. We saw most of the landmarks of the city (the tour host gave us a very informed history of everything we saw). We toured Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur. I would go on this tour again only because it was so personal. Ask at your hotel and if you go on this tour tell them we recommended them!

Lynda, thank you for the great advice. I hear that I should not miss Sacre Coure.
