Packing for Greece
#41
We spent 2 weeks in Greece In May 2018. I did bring a light sweater and never needed more than that. I am not a skirt girl and more of a pants girl, so wore mostly capris at night and shorts during the day. I always pack lots of underwear and tops. I was able to do the rinse in the sink in Paros as our little deck had a clothes line with clips at our hotel. It was convenient. I found nothing was fancy, even the nicest places in Santorini/Mykonos. Enjoy your trip!

Hi all! I decided to go with a lightweight denim button down as my “jacket” instead of a sweater and I think I made a good choice. My suitcase came in at 21#, which is manageable and leaves space to pick up a thing or two, if I feel the need. I love the conversations here and appreciate the responses. Athens is amazing, but I’m looking forward to getting on the islands!

Great picture, but I'm a little surprised to see it. The person who wouldn't give travel dates for security reasons is posting a picture while she is there! So much for not revealing travel dates...

Very creative photos...love them...keep posting. As a fellow hand carry luggage traveler I can assure people it is possible...yes we wear things more than once (oh for shame!) and can wash out things as needed.Just did 2.5 weeks and always managed to have the right thing to wear. Cotton and linen the way to go. I bet NYLily can attest to the satisfaction at embarkation on a ferry (if she took one) when you watch people struggle with giant suitcases...I mean they look frazzled. It is usually the US travelers with the big bags...but hey...bring what you need.

Lovely photos! Great hat! How are the packing choices working out for you? It looks like you are wearing one of the sundresses. I took a look at the weather forecast and it looks like you are getting perfect weather. Temps in the low 80s. Can't wait for my trip in a few months. Following along on your trip details!

Thanks for checking in! My packing has been on point with the only items not yet worn being one sundress and any exercise clothes. We’ve walked/hiked for miles, rode bikes 40+ km and today went stand up paddle boarding, so I’m not kicking myself too hard about not running. The hat is cheap from Gap, but I’m really happy I threw it in my bag. You’ll want one. The weather has been fantastic other than some intense wind our first 24 hours. Made for a rough ferry ride! Next up is Mykonos!

Continuing thanks for taking the time to post photos for us!!
i say go ahead and wear that last sun dress and take a jog in your exercise clothes one time... I'd do it just so I could say "yes i used every single item i packed my 'pack' was perfection - needed nothing more and nothing less!"

Everything has been worn and bonus - it’s all washed and packed for our return home. I am very sad to leave Greece, particularly Paros, but I have lovely memories and photos forever.
