Bookchick has long been one of my favorite people here and we share a love of Italy. (Coincidentally when my former girlfriend & I went to Europe two years ago, we departed on what turned out to be Bookie's birthday.) As Scarlett said, she's a great help to many people here on Fodors and is also, IMO, a very kindhearted woman with a strong spirit that will help her get through any curveballs that life throws her way.

Thanks for the good news, Jody; I hope she continues to do fine!

Capo: Don't mean to detract from all the get well wishes, but couldn't help notice in your post that you said "former girlfriend." Not that it's any of my business, but you seemed to be a very special couple that enjoyed one another's company and love of travel immensely. I'm sorry to hear that you are no longer together.
