Ostia - Papyri library
Recently in Ostia the house fo Julius Caesar's father in law was opened to the public for the first time.
Its landmark is the largest collection of old papyri.
Does anyone have details about opening days, hours, price, pre-booking, etc. for a visit in August?
Thks,

Kate - thks for your reply. Is this Julius Caesar's father-in-law's house then?
Can anyone advise best sightseeing locations and time (of the day) in Aug in Ostia? Is the antique town worth the visit?

If you are talking about the Ostia Antica ruins near Ostia, they are well worth going to. We went one day last May and they were not crowded and it is easy to get to. I don't have the hours, but I recommend getting there early in August, it was HOT in May and I got sunburned.
