I can't help you, but I can tell you that tax on alcohol is extremely high in Norway.
Where are you coming from? If you're coming from the States or other European countries such as France/Belgium, I would bring a good bottle with you.

Norway, like Sweden and Finland, has strict controls on the sale of alcohol. There is only one store that sells wine:

Thanks for the quick response. We are in the US and are not planning to visit any time soon -- just wanted to send the wine as a gift for an Oslo resident. As for the link, it appears this company is a wholesaler?

Vinopolet's web site says "Vinmonopolet have the exclusive right to retail wine, spirits and strong beer in Norway. The products are purchased through importers holding the required licence for import."
Most Norwegian towns have a branch which is the only place to buy wine and spirits. The web site lists 23 branches in Oslo and nine in Bergen, for example. No other shops are allowed to sell wine and spirits. Similar state monopolies exist in Sweden (called Systembolaget) and Finland (Alko).
