Fly into Madrid from Philadelphia on May 17.

May 17 - 19 - Palacio de San Martin, Madrid

May 20 - Hi-speed AVE to Seville

May 20 - 23 - Las Casas de Las Juderias, Seville. Will take day trip via train to Cordoba on second or third day.

May 24 - pick up car and drive to Costa de la Luz

May 24 - 27 - Hotel Fuerte Costa de la Luz, in Conil de la Frontera. Will take a drive to Ronda on one of the days.

May 28 - drive to Granada, and drop-off car.

May 28 - 30 - La Casa de Los Migueletes, Granada.

May 31 - train back to Madrid. One night at Palacio de San Martin.

June 1 - fly back to the real world.

This is our first trip to Spain. Your comments are welcome.

I'm certainly no expert on Spain, but the only item I would question is why you would make a special drive to Ronda from Conil de la Frontera only to re-drive almost that same route when you go to Granada. For me, I think I would give up one night in Conil de la Frontera and spend a night in Ronda before continuing on to Granada. Just me, though.

Other than that, the itinerary looks good. (Can't comment about the hotels, though)

Chele60 - Re: your comment about driving to Ronda - we have also considered just stopping there on the way to Granada, but we might take a circuitous route to include a quick stop at Gibraltar on the day we visit Ronda. That's still a bit up in the air.

Thanks

You might try paging Maribel, or at least looking at some of her posts. She is very much an expert on Spain.
