Online Paris street map with metro and bus stops?

I used to have a link to a terrific Paris street map. It was done in sectors. You clicked on a sector and got a very detailed neighborhood map that showed not only metros, but all bus stops as well. It had one-way street indicators. I think it even had those little stairs showing all the entrances and transitions for a given metro station.

But I haven't been able to find it for a couple of years. Does anyone know of such a map??? It was a great resource and I'd love to find it again!

The "Plans de quartiers" maps on RATP show metro, bus stops, and one-way street directions, but I couldn't find a link to one big map divided into sectors. Just enter any address, metro station, or place name in the peach-colored box on the http://www.ratp.fr/ main page and click "plan de quartier" to bring up a map of the area.

For example, typing in "Cathedral Notre-Dame" (for "lieu") brings up this:

Oops, my second link no longer works, but just go to the homepage and enter a station or place yourself.

On the "plan interactif" at www.ratp.fr, you can click on a station and then choose the icon for the plan de quartier, which looks like a blue square with lines. Not every station seems to have this icon however.

Yes, thanks, I use the ratp neighborhood maps. But I find them cumbersome, having to go to multiple maps to compare bus vs. metro or a combination of the two. Also, the ratp maps are especially slow to load.

<b>Oh, wait! I may have found it!</b> I found this link in an old trip planning document. It doesn't have as much street detail as I recalled, but I think it may be the one. Also doesn't have the enter/exit points for metro stations. But I probably mis-remembered that.

I went to ratp and tried to find my way to that map from the opening page, but I couldn't do it. Don't know how I ever got there.

Here's another map I found while looking around. It has very detailed street info and includes a speedy search function. I don't see a legend...wonder what those little black things are that look kinda like hats.

I don't know what that icon is supposed to look like, but they're post offices.

JeanneB, I tried the hot-maps site and could not get the search function to work at all.

I just tried it. In the little window on the right I typed in "Rue Bonaparte". The list beneath the window changed, Rue Bonaparte now at the top of the list. I clicked on it and the map zoomed in on the correct street.

Try again and let me know.

JeannneB, I got it to work with rue Bonaparte, also, but not with rue Serpente, which is where our hotel is. I was just trying it out. It only gave 4 "rues" that begin with an "S", and Serpente is not one of them. It is a small street.

Well, that <I>is</i> interesting. My search didn't find Rue Serpent either. But it's on the map! And the even smaller Rue Suger nearby DID work. Guess it's not totally reliable. Shucks.

Off topic (although I will check out these links), but congratulations to your nephew, Jeanne!

I didn't read all this posting, but I just went to mappy.com and put in rue Serptente, Paris 75006 and voila, there it was...just off St. Germaine and St. Michel...

Hello! Thanks for your well wishes. I don't think I've ever mentioned my nephew on Fodors.

Flsd is referring to the fact that <I>he won the British Open Championship today</I>!!! The only thing that could have made it better would have been if Watson didn't have to lose in order for Stewart to win.

flsd: I also had an email from Big Wave Betty tonight. Fond memories of some very fun times.
