OneTravel.com Experience

I am about to place a reservation through OneTravel.com but a bit hesitant as I have not heard of the company. It would also be for 3 tickets for a multi-destinations in Europe. Does anybody hear or any experience with the company? It's based in Pennsylvania. Thank you, appreciate any feedback.

They messed up my ticket purchase and I spent so many hours over several days waiting on the phone to connect with their customer service to no avail. The other problem is they're not real time so they can cancell your ticket purchase even after the sale is finalized. That's how the mess started as they rebooked it by phone and unfortunately they rebooked the wrong date and wouldn't correct it. It's a real nightmare and I ended up having to pay an extra $300 to correct the date even though their agent made the mistake.

I have used them several times without problems.

Once I booked two tickets for the wrong date, immediately called them and they corrected the problem immediately.

Hi C,

They have been in business a long time.

I have had good experiences with them.

Thanks Ira and Dukey, you two must have a good experience with One Travel as I often see your names whenever said consolidator pops up. Anybody else has any experience with One Travel? I just can't believe that there will be about $160 diff. between booking through One Travel and directly with Air France, so for the 4 of us, it'll be a total of $640. Appreciate any comments/feeback.

Hi C,

Why not?

That's what consolidators are supposed to do - provide cheaper tickets.

Ira is absolutely correct. Consolidators routinely book airline tickets below published tariff rates. the airline gets more business, the consolidator gets their take, and the consumer gets a cheaper price.

It is completely legit.

I've booked hotel rooms and rental cars through them and always had good experiences - they were far cheaper than the big 3. I have seen that sometimes they don't add the taxes/fees to their airfare until you go to checkout - jusy fyi.

You can add my name as a satified 1travel customer. I booked 4 tickets to Malaga in September for a girls trip, so 4 different last names, 4 credit cards and 1 of the women gave the wrong middle initial for her name, (it has to match the passport name). They could not change the ticket but gave me the right airline number to get it straightened out, so all in all I would use them again if the price is the best.

I actually used them 3 times and they only messed it up on the last time. If it wasn't for the mess that cost me an extra $300 and several days of phone calls, I would have been a satisfied customer as well.
