One way air fares?? !! ??
We're planning a trip for the spring. Sailing on the QM2.. then going to Prague to pick up a river cruise to Berlin.
Cunard no longer includes return airfare as they used to. So I've been doing some searching and have come up with fares..one way in Economy .. that are more expensive than the ship! Anybody have any secret ways to get around this?
Many thanks.

Since AirBerlin merged with LTU, you will get good connections from Berlin to several airports in the US (incl. JFK, MIA, LAX) via their Dusseldorf hub.
A dummy price inquiry for a one-way flight in March 08 from Berlin to JFK got quotes in the 240-360 Euro range, incl. tax+fees.

Or you can treat yourself and fly one of the all-business airlines. Silverjet from London Luton to Newark; Maxjet from London Stansted to JFK, LAX and LAS; or l'Avion from Paris Orly to Newark.
One-way fare as low as about $850 for Maxjet STN-JFK.
But you need to fly from Berlin to one of those gateways, and perhaps another transfer to your hometown.
