One or two nights in Bruges
I am planning a quick trip to Europe this summer. I fly into Brussels and will spend the night there. I then plan to go to Bruges for one or two nights and from there to Paris for 4 nights. (fly out of Paris)
So.. would you spend one or two nights in Bruges? I am open to suggestions on the keeping myself occupied too. I am not a big Flemish Art fan, but the charm of the city seems to appeal to me...

I quite enjoyed getting off the beaten track in Brugge, and if you are in the mood to just walk around and relax and get out of the very touristy center, then two nights it is.
That said, one can easily see the most picturesque parts of Bruges in less than a day (especially if you are skipping the museum). If you don't mind being on the go, you might consider spending a night in Antwerp instead of two in Bruges. The food in Antwerp is fantastic, as is its historic core, and it's quite a stylish northern European city.

Well I have REALLY thought about this and... I am only giving Bruges one night.
The deciding factor was that the day I had to spend was Monday when ALL the museums are closed. So my plan is to arrive in Brussels Sat, leave Sunday AM for Bruges and spend most of Sunday and part of Monday and the head for Paris. Train fares are lower later on Monday so that works.
If I really like it, I can always make a return trip! However, I KNOW I love Paris and I was very afraid I would be wandering around going "I could already be in Paris" LOL!
Thanks for your help.
Now I have to hope I can add a night to my Paris hotel.
