One day side trips from Paris

Hi, My family and I are going to Paris for 4 days and have been to the city twice already. We would like to know as a possible side trip, better to go to Chartres or Reims? Both cities have many cathedrals and historical sites. Does anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks

I have been to both cities and I would recommend Reims. The cathedral is wonderful and you can visit the champagne cellars.

I agree Reims is a great day trip and the Cathedral is spectacular. I have heard that it all all lit up at night for its anniversary, so I imagine that is beautiful. A visit to Veuve Clicquot would make a fun day.

I'd do Provins, a walled city not that far from Paris. Lots of things for younger kids and adults

Have you been to Giverney? Versailles? Reims? Even Lyon via TGV?
Four days isn't very long in itself, even with prior visits.
