Beth, I happened upon the website with a reference for the (new this month) "Highly Skilled Migrant Programme" at the Home Office, http://www.dfee.gov.uk/ols - look for the link at the bottom. It's a new points-based system (education, earnings, etc.) to work around the work permit thing. Shows that it's surprisingly easy to migrate if you have a Nobel Prize or an Oscar to your credit. Doesn't everybody?<BR><BR>It appears that some time ago the work permit offices (along with the rest of the Home Office?) moved to Sheffield. When I had to deal with them (which involved a great deal of mumbled profanity on my part and adherence to some handbook written by Kafka on theirs,) they were based in the aptly named Lunar House in Croydon.
