? On Downloaded Digital Pix
We took hundred of pictures during our 6 week trip this fall. We downloaded them on our lap-top and had a professional disc made too several times during the trip. All this w/o incident.
However, when we got home and transferred the digital photos (can't remember if it was directly from the memory card or from the discs) to my iMac, a few of the pictures are deformed, for lack of a better word--like when your satellite recepltion is being interfered with and the digital frames freeze in a blur momentarily. These pictures are okay on the laptop! What did I do wrong??? Is there a way to fix them? Thanks.

Your computer is probably compressing the image to fit it on the screen or the particular window you're viewing it in.
Do, by chance, your horizontal images look fine, but the vertical ones look strange?
If so, this is what is happening.

Sounds like it might be a compatibility problem between your iMac (Apple) and your laptop (PC).
See if your photo software has a conversion program. If not, ask at your computer store to see if they have a conversion program you could use.
I'm assuming you want to view them on your computer. If not, you could have them printed from your disk.
Do you remember how you transferred the pictures? If it was from the memory card, they should transfer fine. If it was from a disc written on the laptop, you could have compatibility problems. If you still have them on the memory card, try transferring them directly and see if that solves the problem.
