Paris! Lucky you!
We just returned four days ago - a month-long European trip, with eight days in Paris at the very end. Weather was chilly, but we only had one day of real rain.
Bring lots of warm scarves - or buy a few there.
I really enjoyed just people-watching, especially on the Metro. Those Parisian women (and men, too!) are so stylishly put together, and beautiful, too. I kept wondering how in the world they can afford such designer-type clothing ... maybe that's why they're riding the Metro ...
We especially enjoyed the Musee National du Moyen Age (Latin Quarter) - amazing arts and artifacts from the Medieval age. A nice change from the crowds at the Louvre and the Orsay - if you go be sure to get the audio (costs only a Euro) and give yourself plenty of time. The tapestries are truly breathtaking.
Have a wonderful trip!

Sigh, you are right about how put together the citizens of Paris are. I took one look at the stuff in my suitcase this morning and thought, oh dear, how frumpy I'll will look! But guess what? I hear they have stores over there and actually encourage shopping!!!!

Returned tonight and we had a WONDERFUL time, despite the cold, a couple of days of rain, and the metro strike. I kept a journal so I will write a trip report in a day or so. Pics will come later as I am sooo computer challenged, but my daughter will help with that! Off to bed now with pleasant dreams of Paris...
