Sunday - The weather in Paris today was hot, around 78 degrees and VERY sunny. We headed out early to the 20th to visit the Pere Lachaise Cemetery. We traveled via metro, just out of the metro station we found an antique market. We looked through but did not purchase. We went through the cemetery and found the graves of Jim Morrison, Chopin and others. It is a wonderful cemetery and was a perfect day. After the cemetery, we had lunch of croque provencal ( ham , cheese and tomato ). It was such a nice day we decided to take a boat trip up the seine. We took the metro over to Pont Neuf and boarded the boat there. It is not too expensive, 12 euro each for a hour ride. After we went to Scoop , a great ice cream shop right below the apartment on Rue Saint-Honore. Tonight for dinner we plan Jambon, Pome-de-terre and the Alsatian wine we purchased the other day. Only 2 more full days in Paris... I am sad about that!!!!! Will load photos later of the past 2 days

Tuesday May 26 - Today is our last day in Paris. A few thoughts for those who are arrving soon and for those staying in this apartment. The apartment from Vacations in Paris # 125 - at 150 Rue Saint Honore. The apartment is small but very functional. When you arrive, if it is warm, open the bedroom window and the front window to create the most pleasurable cross breeze you will find in Paris. if you turn on the fan in the bathroom, turn it right off as it will run for about a 1/2 hour even after you turn it off. The PC has some problems with PC Defender, Just CLT-ALT-DEL and kill the PC defender program and you will be fine. The Boulangerie down the street is the best, they do run out of items, so my advice is go in the morning get what you want and bring it back to the apartment before you go out for the day. I created a spreadsheet of all the street markets in the city, by day and street, I have left it in the book for the apartment. Orange book on the table. We purchased flowers several times while here, Paris has GREAT flower shops, it made the apartment feel like home, I would suggest it. Scoop, the ice creas shop has the best home made ice cream, try to frequent while you are here. We did use the French we studied prior to coming while we were here, we always said Bonjour when entering a shop, it makes a diference to the shop owner, it is polite in Paris. We did learn our French is not enough so we will continue as we return to the states.
Yesterday, we took a long tranditional paris lunch, We both had a Kir Royal ( 2) , we split escargot and Mal had Foie gras and I a salad with goat cheese. We spent 2 hours at lunch sitting, eating and ejoying the paris sidewalk traffic. And additional post in a few minutes as I have to upload final pictures
