Off to London!!
To everyone that helped me with our plans...thank you! I am quite impressed with how your authorities have handled the terror plots! This morning on Fox news at 7AM CT, it was announced that a pipe bomb went off in Downtown Disney parking lot. It happened at midnight. I haven't heard anything more about it....has anybody?

Haven't heard anything about a pipe bomb! Some people really do have idle time on their hands, don't they? Anyway, congratulations on making the decision to come over! Pack your rain gear (if you have a pair of duck boots, bring them. Brilliant in this weather!)

It was found in a dumpster, Downtown Disney has been cracking down on teen-agers who hang out there and has been expelling thenm and barring them from Disney property. Lots of gang related activity has been going on and Disney is fed up. Probably a little bit of " get even"!

Hi - some of the open top bus tours will attach a cover to the front section and I saw a whole bus load sitting on top on Saturday wearing disposable plastic capes/hoods (think this was the Big Bus company). There was a hen party all wearing rabbit ears - very funny! Wish I had my camera.
The weather is VERY changeable at the moment - just during my lunch hour today I was rained on and had blazing sunshine. For a long time I never used to pack my brolly - now I have it with me all the time.
As for the Tube, yes locals have continued to use it. Some of them don't have a choice. I could take the bus or walk (if I have the time) but this morning I used the Piccadilly line. It was packed, as usual. I had to let one train go. When I got to Green Park, there was a police presence. If you are really worried, avoid the tube at peak time (and you will get a seat!!). I do not take your concerns lightly. I was VERY nervy taking the tube after the bombings, especially since I get a bit claustrophobic on the Piccadilly line anyway.
