We just returned from Paris yesterday. I was really surprised at the low level of security when we arrived at terminal 3 of CDG the previous week. It seemed as though the first few people in the line to go through immigration were interviewed, but after that they literally just waved the rest of us through. Not only were our passports not stamped, no one even looked at them. We just held them up and literally walked through.

actually he is a smokey grey, a miniture poodle I adopted from a shelter. There were three families ahead of us to get him and all returned him. He was too rambunctous and needy-just like me so it was destined to be.
But he is more attached to my husband. I'm his masseuse and playmate.

Have a wonderful trip! We flew to CDG on 9/8 and were also waved right through immigration after a cursory glance at our US passports. Leaving on 9/15, however, security was much tighter and all passengers (on our Continental flight) were individually "searched and questioned" in a very efficient and professional manner. This was quite a contrast to leaving EWR, where security seemed rather lax. At any rate, a conversation with a native Californian who resides in Paris revealed that the French are not terribly concerned with entering Americans (feeling they've been well-screened before being allowed on the flight), but are strict before allowing anyone to board when leaving France. That being said, all went smoothly, but it is best to allow for the extra time that security takes at CDG. Bon voyage!

We'll have several hours to make our way from Terminal2A to 2F to catch our flight to Nice; I hope that's sufficient! On our way back home we have a mid-afternoon flight and will have spent the night airport and so will have lots of time...unless something strange happens (it's CdG, after all).
