Off to France!
We leave on Tuesday; wish us luck at CDG! My friend just back from London says that everything was going very nicely--no hassles--so we're hoping for the same.
I will toast you with a pastis with my dog, Pastis, by my side.
Merci, Mimi! We'll think of you.
Bon voyage et bonne chance!
We just returned from Paris yesterday. I was really surprised at the low level of security when we arrived at terminal 3 of CDG the previous week. It seemed as though the first few people in the line to go through immigration were interviewed, but after that they literally just waved the rest of us through. Not only were our passports not stamped, no one even looked at them. We just held them up and literally walked through.

I love france, i had the best sex of my life in paris with a gal from england. Viva la france.
Bon vacance - I hope you breeze through CDG, both coming and going.
Looking forward to hearing about your trip. Nina |
Bienvenue en France Jean, any chance to meet in Dijon?
Bonnes vacances! :-) coco |
Security has been downgraded, so you shouldn't have any problems. Have a super trip.
Alas, Coco, we'll be in Provence the entire time--friends there to visit. But our next trip will be a return to Burgundy.
Une autre fois alors!
Bon voyage.:-) ((s)) |
Have Bob, taste a Frigolet, it's a thyme based drink.
A dog named Pastis. I love it. Does he turn cloudy when he gets caught in the rain?
actually he is a smokey grey, a miniture poodle I adopted from a shelter. There were three families ahead of us to get him and all returned him. He was too rambunctous and needy-just like me so it was destined to be.
But he is more attached to my husband. I'm his masseuse and playmate. |
Wishing you and your husband a safe and comfortable trip Jean with no hassles at CDG and a beautiful time in Provence! Enjoy every special moment, I will be thinking of you.
I flew in on the 19th, and it was very smooth. You shouldn't have any problems.
Have a wonderful trip! We flew to CDG on 9/8 and were also waved right through immigration after a cursory glance at our US passports. Leaving on 9/15, however, security was much tighter and all passengers (on our Continental flight) were individually "searched and questioned" in a very efficient and professional manner. This was quite a contrast to leaving EWR, where security seemed rather lax. At any rate, a conversation with a native Californian who resides in Paris revealed that the French are not terribly concerned with entering Americans (feeling they've been well-screened before being allowed on the flight), but are strict before allowing anyone to board when leaving France. That being said, all went smoothly, but it is best to allow for the extra time that security takes at CDG. Bon voyage! ((#))

Have a wonderful trip! :)
We'll have several hours to make our way from Terminal2A to 2F to catch our flight to Nice; I hope that's sufficient! On our way back home we have a mid-afternoon flight and will have spent the night airport and so will have lots of time...unless something strange happens (it's CdG, after all).
Have a wonderful trip, Jean! Will you be going to new places in Provence? It's been several years since we've been there, and I'm eager to get back.
