As a Finn I have to defend ourselves ;o). Nowadays we do not dub anything on national TV. In my opinion this is one reason why Finns (at least most of the younger ones) speak and pronounce English quite well. I am not quite sure though what happened during the times of the Soviet Union..

My input for the original question: Jerry Springer Show, after a long and tiring day at a conference in Florida. What are those people thinking ?!!!

Last year in spain we came upon a show which was actually Japanese in origin. The name was something like "Kashogi's castle". There were youthful contestants who had to perform stunts all the while being thwarted by a cast of costumed Samurai warriors, geisha girls etc. These hapless contestants had to do things like walk across a fast moving swing bridge which was bad enough then some costumed guy came out of nowhere and let them have it with a water cannon. Then they had to go to a karaoke spot and sing and if the samurai didn't like it he dragged them out by the neck. These are just a few of the stunts they had to perform to win absolutely nothing.
Silly of course, but it was the funniest thing we had ever seen and actually left the beach each day to watch it. Sad ! but we laughed so much it was good for the heart.
