October in Italy
Hi - it's me again with yet another question.

I'm trying to lock in dates for my trip.
I initially planned to go mid September, but found the prices and availability of hotels to be too difficult.
Then I thought about pushing it back one week.
Now I'm considering pushing it back to go during the 2nd week of October through the 3rd week (ie. 7th through 21st)

I'm worried about the whethor
Our destination plans are Rome, Amalfi Coast, and Tuscany.

Does anyone have any feedback for me?
I'd hate for it to be cold/rainy while we're on the coast!!

Thanks again for all the help.
Temperature-wise you should be okay, though it probably won't be warm enough for swimming on the Amalfi Coast then. Probably in the low 60s.
Of course, there's always the chance of rain.
I'd do it and not worry at this stage. (I say that will full confidence, as we'll be arriving in Italy around the time you leave. Seriously, we've been to Italy twice in October and November in 1999 and 2000 and had 3-4 days of rain out of a total of about 20.)

We have been to Italy twice in September and once in November and prefer November. September can be hot and crowded. I think you are better off with the October dates. Although the chances of rain should be less in
September, you never know. We had rain on both of our September trips and none in November. Don't worry about it - you'll have a great trip.
