AZ, love the march to obesity reference. I am lining up our reservations and others we hope to get into on my Outlook calendar for our Thanksgiving week trip. And of course, planning to taste macarons, pain au chocolats, Berthillon ice cream and various chocolats and cheeses in between our fabulous restaurant choices.

There was a guy that used to do a column in Runners World for the less fast runners and he always signed off with- "waddle on friend"....so waddle on friends!!

I wasn't planning on returning to Paris for a while, I thought after three months in three years I had had enough..... but...... after looking at THAT dessert - the souffle, I guess I am going to have to go back!! Wow,
Enjoy your time,

Cornelius, you may be thinking of the up-scale Café de l'Alma on Ave. Rapp at the corner of University. It is ownned by the same family who have the restaurant Fontaine de Mars.

Thanks, GraceJoan. I think you are right that Casse Noix might be closed for a long weekend. Daughter is going to have to try again Monday. We do have the website, but thanks again.

The millefeuille is part of our return to Florimond, and I think my youngest is coaching the other students to order that too. Both daughters have loved the lobster ravioli, too.

That would be lovely if you mention us when you are at Reed.

Denisea--"Waddle on Friend" shall be our new password. Or WOF for short.

AZ...so glad there are others who understand that you just have to enjoy the food and waddle on extra when you get back home (although we walk so much and the Metro stairs also seem to help us stay at least weigh neutral in Paris). WOF!

Can't wait for more Joan! Tourism department should put you on payroll!

Photos from Bar Vendome yesterday....

Bar Vendome – Ritz – Armistice Day, Phil and Sue

Phil’s Club Sandwich..

Sue and I both had the Shrimp Caesar..hard to pass up

http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...0_00022-44.jpg

Sue and I had breakfast at Cafe Constant this morning. She has some last day errands to do today. We said our goodbyes and I stopped at the grocery store for some bandaids for my scraped knee fall the other day!

Had a not from Catherine Reed as I had sent her an email re AZ's daughter and T/G reservation. She did not say that she had it, but we will talk this evening. I will double check on Marcy and Denise reservations, too!

I have a bit of cleanup before Phil arrives this evening. I think we will have a nice evening at Reed and it can be helpful to the rest of you.

Met some nice Americans in Cafe Constant who were waiting for PP office to open etc. We did vist and I gave them some info re restaurants and some tour information. Will probably see them on the streets!!

I was in the Cafe l'Alma the other day...had forgotten to mention it for the one you might have been thinking of..Thanks JIm!!

a bientot....

Oh, Joan, your photos continue to make my mouth water!

You are definitely the Head of Marketing for PP and CC (even tho those photos were from Bar Vendome!!).

It's your wonderful enthusiasm and inclusiveness that is so becoming. I think you want everyone to love Paris as you do. We are in your debt.

Went to Reed. Alessandra Z..Has your daughter made the T/G reservaions there? The only one she had was for 2 people..I thought you had more that that???

We did have a nice time..so nice to have elbow room and not have to yell to be heard!! Phil did enjoy his meal and the whole thing! We had a good time and covered a lot of catch up. Chances are he will return in the Spring when I am here. Hope so!

I will post photos in the morning, but I am sure those of you who have made reservations have made a wise decision.Others may want to do the same.

a bientot....

vicki,

I see that you are dining at the same time we are on Christmas Eve at Violon. We would love to meet you and enjoy Christmas Eve dinner together if you would like. The more the merrier!

Joan, your contribution here is invaluable!

Joan---you are an inspiration. I absolutely love all of the food photos. You tend to dine at places that are above our budget, but I so enjoy following you through Paris.

Wouldn't that be nice if Vicki and BeachGirl got together for Thanksgiving!

Alessandra, I didn't think that was your reservation.

Tpayt, I eat in a variety of price range restaurants. Please do be aware that 'menu's are often starter/main, main/dessert or all 3, OR you can order 2 starters, or pretty much whatever. Also my good friend Florent has a super lunch businesss with prices 12 - 15 euros, I would wait to go there about 2:30 or arrive at noon. That is Flirt The.

Will get to the photos from last night soon.

a bientot..

Reed is charming, roomy and quiet! Her wait staff was not a professional but much better than the one at FL. Very pretty and pleasant. The winter months could be good learning period for her needed skills!
They had a nice crowd last night. I think all will be pleased in dining there.
Lloyd, if you and JoAnn are following, I think you need a reservation to take your guests! I will e-mail you!

Both Sue and Phil left this morning! They had great weataher for their last day. Yesterday was fantastic. It looks like it may be the same today. Think I will have an easy day foosdwise today. Simple things at home,perhaps..some nice walks here and there and maybe some good pics!

a bientot form a sunny Paris...

BeachGirl....love to see you Christmas Eve! Am so looking forward to dinner at Violon as I'm sure you are too. The only Contant retaurant I've missed although I've walked by it many times.

I really want to try those new places that Joan has been enjoying too...everything looks wonderful!
