I really don't have trouble with the Expedia popups, so long as I don't let my cursor linger on the Expedia bar. Have you tried moving your cursor off the banner?

Download the free pop-up stopper from www.panicware.com
I haven't had one since I did, except when I click the white hand (turning it grey) to turn it off, since some links one clicks to go to are screened out just like a pop-up. For example, a hotel site might have a link for a hotel which enables a picture of a room to be seen.

I have a pop-up blocker and firewall and I am STILL getting pop-ups almost every time I click on a new thread. (and they pop up right on top of the 1st post!!)

It is annoying and I can't stop it!!! I agree with panucci

Mary_Fran,

I should have tried your advice BEFORE I posted. (I just got what you were talking about) ... Yes, you are right. The Expedia banner is on top of the thread - if your cursor is on it (as it will probably be when you first click on the thread) it pulls down an ad over the post ... WOOHOO! Now I KNOW how to control this
