It's just a question that I get very often, sometimes here and lots on the Hungry Onion Spain/Portugal/Italy forum : "Maribel, of all the Michelin stars in San Sebastián, which is the best?
The ones in San Sebastián and Bilbao have priced themselves out of our league these days.

Not all...Mina is still an excellent option in Bilbao, with lovely views to the Ribera market and the river. But true...all Michelin are focused now on foreign visitors!

My emphasis was "priced out of our own personal league, as it our own dailydining budget, but not everyone's, of course.
Compared to the 3-Michelin starred San Sebastián restaurants and those in Barcelona, the €160 and €130 tasting menus at Mina are still a relatively bargain for those with an ample dining budget or who just wish to splurge for a special occasion.

In the countryside at the 2 one-Michelin starred restaurants where my husband, mikelg and I had lovely lunches: at Boroa, the Txindoki tasting menu is priced at a reasonable (for a Michelin-starred Basque Country restaurant) 90 euros and at Andra Mari the menu is priced at 95 or one can dine a la carte.

About Bilbao and its wonderful walkability--
An article on May 9 in the Economist listed the "world's most walkable cities" and 4 Spanish cities made the top 10 on this list: Granollers (Catalunya), Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz (Basque Country) and León (Asturias)---I can personally attest to the last three.

I don't subscribe to The Economist, so can't leave here a link.
