Deepa - I'll leave someone else to give you the driving time. My guess would be about 4 hours - maybe less - as it's motorway all the way to the Val Gardena/Castelrotto turn-off.

Deepa, I concur--about 4 hours. We always divert for lunch up to the village of Igls, just past Innsbruck.
Do not be frustrated if the Cavallino has no rooms--they often do not. The Post Hotel Lamm is next door and nice, and the Zum Wolf is the best buy in town--a 3 star behind Cavallino. I like your other choices, but we always stay at Hotel Orta. Not fancy, but what a location, and about 60E cheaper than San Rocco. Get the half board if you stay there. I love this itinerary.
