North of Rome??

I'm planning a trip to Italy in September with a friend. We will be staying fairly close to Naples and plan to see all the sites around there plus the Amalfi Coast. We are also planning on spending a couple days in Rome before we leave. Is there any place we might want to see a little north of Rome before we head back to the states?

Or northern Lazio, including Viterbo and small jewels like the town of Tuscania. If you'd like to see Etruscan tomb paintings in their original underground state, Tarquinia is the place, and you can easily drive to the airport from there to catch your flight home.

I agree with Orvieto and Civita- the Duomo in Orvieto is worth the trip. You can easily do both of these towns in one day. Todi and Spoleto are supposed to be nice too - havent been myself but they sound nice.
