I thought I would let people know that British Airways now has a nonstop from London Gatwick to Dubrovnik. It stops for the winter season (Nov.-March) and starts again in late March 2005.

Thanks for the information! I wanted to go to Dubrovnik this past year, but was put off by the LONG journey through Italy to get there.

Croatia Airlines has service out of Gatwick and Heathrow. The service was fine and I would fly them again anytime.

I was in London in March for 2 days and by sheer chance saw an article in the Times on the emerging economy of Croatia. There was a side bar within the article saying that BA was going to begin service on Tuesdays and Thursdays Gatwick to Dubrovnik commencing the end of May. Do you know for sure that it has begun or is your information off a schedule ? I tried e-mailing BA last week to confirm that the service had begun as this would greatly assist me in getting there in September but never received a reply from them.

I'm sure it has begun -- there's info on BA's web site, and I've already booked it for next spring.
