Noisy Street in Florence Oltrarno Neighborhood?
Looking to possibly stay in Florence in the Oltrarno neighborhood on Via Maggio, 13 in a place called Palazzo Ridolfi. It looks like this might be a busy street and am a little concerned about noise. The place looks lovely but the only suites that are available are unfortunately facing via Maggio. They tell me the windows are soundproofed but perhaps this won't be enough. What are your thoughts?

You can read reviews on Booking.com and filter to see only the comments that include the words quiet and noise. More people mentioned "quiet," but there were some complaints about "noise." Note that the reviews will also give the date of the stay in the hotel.

Personally, I always look for quiet, but that can be tougher in cities. Palazzo Ridolfi is on a main street but outside of the main tourist areas.
I always take ear plugs!

Jean,
Thank you -- I will use the filter feature and good idea about ear plugs. Yes, at home (in the suburbs) I am spoiled by a very quiet environment but some noise in a city is to be expected.
