No more night train to Oslo?

The man at BEST told me it appears they are discontinuing the night train from Malmo to Oslo. He could not find any reference to it after May 2007. Does anyone know if this is correct? If given the option, whick would be better - the night train to Oslo from CPH or the night ferry. How about the choice between the night ferry or the day train? Thanks for any help. C

Oops. I meant BETS - Budget European Travel Service. Not "BEST".

check www.bahn.de and if it's running it will appear on there for the date you put in. There is a link on BETS home page (www.budgeteuropetravel.com) that takes you right to the English timetable site of the bahn.de site. Then in the two boxes put in Malmo and Oslo and the date and all train connections will be shown. If the night train is running it will be on it.

The current issue of the Thomas Cook European Train Timetable does not list any Malmo-Oslo overnight train as far i as i can see either.

That's a pity. It was a very nice train. My first class compartment included a shower.

they also reduced the number of direct day trains from Stockholm to Oslo to certain days of week i believe as well as the night train.

suppose it reflects the effect of cheaper flights even here. Though not environmentally friendly getting there faster is appealing.
