Nice-Milan-Venice-Florence

All advise appreciated ...<BR>Nice (2.5 days)<BR>Milan (2.5 days)<BR>Florence (2.5 days)<BR>Venice (2 days)<BR>Then on to our friend's home in Zurich<BR><BR>Flying into Nice, out of Zurich<BR><BR>What's best way to book train tix? (may rent a car for a day or so in Florence?) We'll be traveling end of June/early July. Should I make reservations/first class.<BR><BR>Assume dress in this area isn't Columbia hiking shorts and t-shirts. How casual can we be during day vs. evening?<BR><BR>Thanks!<BR><BR>

Hi<BR>unless you have some special reason for spending so much time out of your trip in Milan, I would take 1 or 2 days away from Milan and add them on to<BR>Venice and/or Florence. I can't imagine that you wouldn't feel your time better spent.

Thanks, Elaine. We plan to day trip up to S Switz one day; shop one day in Milan. How does that sound? Other ideas?

milan is a super large insane city, you will go nuts driving there, there are no signs or they make little sense, my wife and i never thought we would get out, I WOULD NOT RENT A CAR THERE!!! florence is also not a little town, be prepared for the traffic!!!
