NICE HOTEL
Has anyone stayed at Hotel Massena ? We are only there for2 days.

It's a hotel in Nice. I haven't stayed there, but I noticed last September that the whole area of the Place Masséna is being excavated and generally in disrepair. If the hotel faces the Place, there could be a noise problem--not to mention general ugliness.

I second Underhill. PLace Massena is very noisy. If you want an enjoyable time, I would not stay there.

Thank you both. Now the hunt starts again. We stayed at the Negresco about 35 years ago. But no 600 Euros for nostalgia !!!

Neviboy, you may want to look into staying at the Flots d'Azur or the Hotel Eden. Both are on Promenade des Anglais, and are much less expensive than the Negresco.

We arrive April 1st. About 150 - 200 Euros is OK

One possibility would be the Mercure Promenade des Anglais, which has a very good location. It's part of the Accor Hotels chain. You should be able to get a room with a sea view for your price.
