Hi Allison,
You have some very pretty pictures of Paris. I can tell how much you love gardens. The Luxembourg Gardens and Giverny are on my list of things to do in May. What kind of camera do you have? We are about to buy a dig cam for our trip, thinking about a Canon.

beachbum & Allisonm,
How interesting to see both of your pictures of the same place and to see the different flowers. I'm going to Paris the first week of October, I'll try to remember to take the same picture and post it to see one more comparison.

ilovetulips -We were in Paris May & June last year and made a special trip to the Bagatelle Gardens in the Bois.
The sunken Iris garden was amazing! I never knew they grew so HUGE and in so many colours! Also the Peonies were gorgeous......and everything else.
Don't miss the Tuilleries either.

ilovetulips, I have a Fuji digital that's about 2 years old. They are much smaller now, but I have been very happy with the results from this one except for indoor pictures.
Ronda, I think that cafe is in the Baudy Hotel. It was a beautiful room and the food was great! DH had a bowl of soup and I had a chicken salad, all very fresh.
I do love gardens (I get that from my grandmother!) and think I was just a tad early since mostly what I saw were bulbs. I would love to go again in late May sometime! My daffodils are just opening up here in upstate NY..
Beachbum, what month was your picture taken? Your flowers are much richer and fuller. It will be interesting to see lyb's October picture. Anyone going in July??!!

The café is the Anciente Hotel Baudy. At one time all the American immpressionist painters lived there. It no longer is a 'Hotel but a café and museum with a dining terrace out back, and the artists studio and garden. They have a nice photo I took of the garden in their scrap book. There's a lovely book about this place, titled "A Taste of Giverny, the Home of Monet and the American Impressionists."

We were just there, from 26 March to 2 April, and I felt like I was back there when I looked at your pictures. I'm forwarding them to my husband!
