New Element Discovered

New Element Discovered

Lawrence Livermore Laboratories has discovered the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from four days to forty years to complete.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2-6 years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.

This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.

When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium , an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons. This action defies the laws of physics as it ceases to do anything at all, but continues to grow in a geometric fashion.

Just thought I should post this for some fun, since it now encompasses all global areas.

I don't think this belongs on the travel board, and you might read the TOS on this website (and any other, for that matter) about posting copyrighted information you copied from elsewhere.

Was expecting to hear about unobtainium. At least people would know outright that I didn't think it up.

I think those scientists have been hanging around S. Palin too much. They've their morons and peons mixed up.

Christina, I received this as an email a while back. I thought it was very funny and with what all is happening in the world it makes bad situations a bit lighter. No, I did not write this nor do I infringe on copyrighted material.

I am so sorry that I tried to make some folks smile on this super serious, absolutely non-funny board (or so some think). I sure hope you have never quoted something without giving proper reference, oooohhhhh.

I don't care, it is still funny

It is funny! And I think it has as much of a place in the Lounge as anything else does.

And Govermentium is all over the web so I am not sure anyone even knows who wrote it first.
