New Anglophile flick...

...many scenes of London, particulalrly South Bank... "Last Chance Harvey" is a charmer. Dustin Hoffman was never better (yeah, maybe in "The Graduate&quot and Emma Thompson is a gem...even at a head taller than DH.

It is at once funny, poignant, and a captivating story, perhaps played out every day around the globe.

Go see it...(bring kleenex)

Thank you Stu, I am sure our boring movie theater will not be showing this movie but I will add it to my Netflix queue.

I saw the preview the other night and it looks cute (most of all for the tour of London!). It seemed like Dustin Hoffman was playing a grown-up Benjamin Braddock. I'm glad to hear you liked it - we'll see it this weekend if it's playing locally.

...only in this one, he has no large church windows to "paste" himself to...and of course, "Mrs. Robinson" passed away last year...she was marvelous in that role! He is quite believable and professionally excellent in this role as poor Harvey, IMO.

Looking forward to it, but it's not playing here yet.

In her black-dress scenes, Emma looks smashing! Even my wife agrees.

Oh, yeah, thanks for the reminder, tower. Soooo many films shot in England are period films (Austen, anyone?), and I so do love films shot in contemporary England. I'll check the movie listings tomorrow.
