New (& only) non-stop to Edinburgh (from US)
FYI, got this information from a mileage statement I received today:
Beginning June 15, 2004, Continental Airlines introduces the first daily nonstop service between New York/ Newark Liberty International Airport, and Edinburgh, Scotland. To commemorate this new flight, they will be offering up to 4,000 bonus miles when you travel through August 10, 2004.
Great news -- about time an air carrier from North America has service to Scotland's capital.

Unfortunately, they are using 757s on this route, just like EWR-Birmingham. Somehow I just don't feel like sitting in a narrowbody plane with 3-3 seating and no personal video screen for 7 hours.
