New Air France Terminal at CDG

Has anyone had experience (good or bad) with the new Air France terminal at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris?

Bad, trying to find our rental car with all the construction going on was horrible. The office was moved outside and to a new location. And the directions the reservation clerk gave us wasn't clear. Luckily we had the time and didn't miss an appointment with someone.

I have to make a connection next week with American coming from the states and Air France going to Italy.

NEW TERMINAL does that mean these two planes are separated by much distance?

Hi Sarah,

American can tell you your arrival terminal. Air France can tell you your departure terminal.

You can find a map of CDG at http://adp.fr/webadp/[email protected]

My daughter and I went thru the new terminal in Sept. Going to Europe we had a transit in CDG to catch a flight to Rome. We had just about an hour for our connection and I was nervous. However our plane arrived early and we made our connection OK - however we did have to pass thru passport control, I think, but fortunately there were few people - directions in the airport were just fair and actually our arrival terminal was near to the new terminal so that helped. CDG is absolutely huge! We walked between terminals, there is a shuttle but that seemed more time consuming than walking to me and I would assume that both methods must pass thru passport control. We flew out of Paris on our return to the States and the taxi driver dropped us at the wrong terminal - we were flying Delta which now goes out of the new terminal. We had gotten into a traffic jam on the way to the airport, then we had to walk quite a ways to the correct terminal (carrying a box with six bottles of wine!), we had to change our tickets and a very snippy Air France agent said if we were not checked in one hour ahead of time the flight would be closed. We were not happy campers! We made it to the gate only to have the departure delayed because the crew had been delayed by the same traffic jam and all came running up to the gate twenty minutes behind us! I think that if in the future I have to connect thru CDG I will try to have a longer connection time but we do usually fly Delta that partners with Air France and I think that helps as far as distance between planes goes.
