Need Zagreb hotels recommendations
We will be starting, and ending, our Croatia tour in Zagreb in September. Looking for a hotel recommendation for two nights in the old town, and one for airport adjacent our last night before an early morning flight out.

I stayed in the Best Western Hotel Astoria and was pleased with my stay; it still seems to get good reviews. As I recall, my room was a bit cramped -- didn't bother me, but I remember reading some reviews by people who were bothered by it. So read the reviews to see if it will suit you or what you should request if you do book there.

I stayed at the Westin a few years ago. It is not right smack in the center of town, but it isn't far and not a bad walk as I recall (10 minutes?) and also right on tram lines to get you to/from downtown and to/from the train station if that makes any difference. I got the Westin super cheap with Starwood points, one reason I picked it. Hotel itself was fine. But I guess things could change in five years...

We spent a weekend at the Hotel Jagerhorn last September. Here's a link to my review.

For city center, we stayed at the Palace Hotel a few years ago and found it very enjoyable. Rooms (especially the bathroom) was large. http://www.palace.hr/en.
Hope you enjoy Zagreb, which is a very underrated city when visiting Croatia. Not being coastal is probably one of the reasons why. It's very easy to get around and offers lots of sights and delicious food!

I know I'm a little late in responding but because of your kind comments on my Facetime question, I will suggest this hotel in Zagreb. My husband and I stayed there for several nights about 10 years ago. It was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in our trip through Croatia.
