Need travel tips for Florence in April
Hey everybody, I'm going to Italy for the first time a month from now. I'd love to hear from people who've been in terms of weather, what the crowds are like, and what's key for me to see. I'm grateful for any and all advice, thanks!

If you are there for any public holidays it is packed. But we enjoyed doing a self guided Brunelleschi tour. You can read in advance about his churches - the Duomo, the work on the Baptistry, Sante Croce and don't miss going in the plain Santo Spirito. The Uffizi is always a must and enjoy the wonderful food. Many great restaurants - Cibreo, Enoteca Pinnchiori (very expensive) and casual spots like Buca dell' Orafo. There is a great spot for geloto near Sante Croce - think it might be called Vivaldi. Have a wonderful time.

Try the resto Buca Giovanni in the piazza del duomo. excellent. The weather in April was quite warm during the day but chilly at night. The English church in the Oltrarno has free concerts in the evening. (Donations accepted)
Be sure to make reservations at the accademia (the David) and the Uffizi. It saves time waiting. Your hotel may do that for you.
