Need rental car in Fussen Germany
We will be taking the train for most of our trip through Germany and Austria but I have decided I would like to rent a car for two days to visit the Castles and some other Bavarian sites and towns nearby. We will be going next October. Does anyone have suggestions for rental car companies in Fussen? Thanks for your help.

That is a great decision there are some great places to visit within a few miles of Fussen. Places like Wiese Kirche, Oberammergau, Schloss Linderhof, Etal Monastary, Garmish, Mittenwald, Bertschesgaden, Herran Chiemsee, and Salzburg.
Contact Bob Bestor at Gemutlichikeit Travel (Gemut.com) He has booked our rent cars in Europe several times and we have always been very satisfied with the price and the service.
Two tips.
1. Use your Mastercard to do the rental and the CDW insurance will be covered by them so you don't have to pay it.
2. Pick up your car at a lot that is NOT at a train station or airport. That adds 19% to the price of the rental.

Babs,
You may want to pick up the car in Munich if you are going that way since Fussen is a small town and the options may be limited. It's not that long a drive from Munich and depending on which way you go it can be lovely.
