Need info on aiport in Rome (FCO)

I will be arriving on British Airways (from London) and my friend will be arriving on Lufstansa (Germany).......both flights originate in U.S. Assuming that we are both arriving in the same terminal (still checking on that), where is the best place to meet her in the aiport.

I will be there 2 hours earlier and decided to wait for her to be picked up together. Can I go up to her arrival gate or is it like the U.S where only ticketed passengers can go thru. Any information on the airport will be helpful.

Thanks

Here's an URL for Heathrow. Don't know if it will offer the answers you need, but hope it helps.

Erase, erase, erase! How embarrassing and I can actually read. Better have another cup of coffee. Here's the correct URL:

As you are arriving earlier you can go and wait for her at her terminal if itīs not the same one they are next to each other.
After luggage claim you will be out of the passenger zone so no tickets needed

Here's the Web site for Aeroporti di Roma, which includes Fiumicino and Ciampino.

Chances are high that you will both arrive at the International Terminal C.

I'm not sure how you get to them from Arrivals rather than from the Departures level, but there are a number of coffee shops (called "Piazza di Spagna", if I recall correctly), where you could spend your time before she arrives.

The best place to meet her is probably at the exit from Customs; not hard to find: it's where all the tour operators and limousine drivers are waiting with placards for the people they are meeting. (You cannot, I think, go to the arrival gate.)
