need help with cheap airfare

I am hoping that I'm not too late to catch one of the last minute airfare deals from atl-lhr for departure mid-late july. I have found one at $569 w/o tax. Is this as cheap as I can find one? Should I give in and buy it?

Any advise and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Patricia

Is it as cheap as you can find anywhere? Only the internet knows.
Where did you find the fare: airline? Consolidator? Group airline site like Orbitz?

I think $569 is good for July.

I second that. If the itinerary and carrier suit you, then you should book it. "Summer", "cheap airfare" and "Europe" are often terms that don't go together very well. Worst case, you later find you could have saved $100. That said, you could easily lose more than that by not having firm plans that would have allowed you to book other aspects of your trip more economically.

Buy it. I try to speculate on the likely "upside/downside" outcomes of waiting a further arbitrary period of time on any given airfare (and it IS pure speculation on my part, though I would say I give fairly educated guesses).

Waiting ten days, I would put the upside at possibly saving $50-100, and the downside at possibly having to pay $200-300 more.

In fact, I would give a similar analysis to waiting ten MINUTES on a fare like this.

Best wishes,

Rex

Thanks so much everybody. I am probably going to get it, but there are some other factors that I have to consider before making that final step!

Thanks so much for the quick and, as always, informative advice!

I say buy it. I have spent days on end doing Internet searches to find the cheapest fare and the best I have ever done is by using Travelocity's flexible dates feature. Ideally, this finds the lowest rate and you can make your dates fit it. I entered July for you and didn't get anything as low as what you found - everything in the mid-600's. That's usually a good indicator.
