Need help on possible French train strike tomorrow (Wednesday)
We're in Paris tonight hearing that there will be strikes tomorrow that will effect half of the high speed international trains (and more of local). We leave tomorrow (Wednesday) morning on a TGV Lyria from Paris to Basel. I've got rather limited search capabilities right now. Can someone help clarify which international trains are affected by the strike tomorrow and does it include ours? And also if it will effect the local metro we'd use to get to Lyon train station. Thanks

They haven't updated the timetables for tomorrow's trains, they say it should be done later today (although that's already evening in Paris), and to check a few hours before departure.
Which train are you on? Do you have a phone? They have a mobile app and you can also call +33892-35-35-35. I think that's a toll call though (cost per minute) and I imagine will be busy.
I'll try to remember to check in a few hours and post updates if you say which train you are on

The SNCF web site has information on individual train status. My train tomorrow was canceled and when I visited the local TGV station today I was told to take another train and take whatever seat I could find. I was unable to exchange my train reservation for another or reserve other seats.

Update: We went to the train station that evening and discover that our train was still going the following morning so we were OK. But we certainly wandered through a train station the next morning full of angry people due to train cancellations.
