Need help in planning a 5 day trip to hit, Florence, Tuscany and Cinque Terre!
Hi!
Due to incredibly short notice, I've only got 5 days before my sister's wedding in Tuscany (just 20 miles south of Florence) and would love to explore Florence, Tuscany and Cinque Terre. My boyfriend and I have both been to Florence before but it's been awhile so we wouldn't mind doing a quick run thru Florence and devoting more time to the other two areas. Which village in Cinque Terre do you suggest we stay in? How many days should we stay there? Any ideas on where to stay/eat? Also, which city in Tuscany should we stay at if we only have 1-2 days there? Thanks so much!!

Hi jf,
From Bologna you can do 2 days and a night in Venice, 2 days and a night in Florence. This would be a very pleasant and fun trip.
Trying to do CT, Tuscany and Florence is more of a trek than a vacation.

Hi Ira,
Thanks for responding! Yes, I know that it will be extremely rushed. What if we knocked off one and just did Florence and either CT or Siena? Which would you suggest?
Thanks for your help!!

Florence for a day if you must (I'd skip it), then to Cinque Terre for 2 nights (stay in Vernazza) via train, Hit Lucca on the way back across and explore around there (get a rental for a day or 2).
or skip Florence and get your car rental and head into Tuscany, Stay N of Siena and explore San Gimignano, Volterra, Lucca, (pick a base to stay for a few nights). Turn in your car in Pisa and train to 5 Terre for 2 nights, then train back to FLorence.
