Well - I'll officially be on vacation in 20 minutes. We don't leave until tomorrow night, but I may not have a chance to get back on here before we go so I just wanted to thank all of you for your help over the past few months. I'm so grateful for all your input and suggestions. The excitement of the trip is finally seeping in and overtaking any other emotion I could possibly have right now lol.
You guys are the best!

Don't worry to much about the time, you'll do fine. Most of your stops are simply 'drive by's' With a relative early start, you'll do fine. If you happen to be near Staffin Bay about lunch time, stop at the Flodigarry (pub) for lunch. This is, IMO, one of Scotland's most beautiful spots.
Duntulm Castle is a short walk from the car park. I've spent an hour here, but I think 30 min. is probably more common. Study the history of the place, legends and all, and be sure to look for the keel marks of the Viking longships.

I've been back for close to a week now but haven't had a chance to post a trip report yet. We did have a wonderful time! And since this is our Thanksgiving holiday weekend in Canada I should have some extra time this weekend to work on the report. I'll post it to a new thread once it's ready.

Alright... so I suck. My life has gotten quite crazy in the last few months and I haven't had a chance to sit down and post the promised trip report. I kept really good notes, so at least when I do it, it will be accurate lol. I have a week off for Christmas so I'm hoping to have a few quiet moments here and there to get it done. In the meantime, here are my photos of the trip - hope you like them!

Thanks for the link to your photos, lifeofmytime - I enjoyed them very much.
Here's a wee Christmas message from Scotland - maybe you'll recognise some of the places?

Lifeofmytime--
When you go to post, may I suggest creating a new posting and title? I think that would be most helpful for folks looking for trip reports!
We were in Scotland and London in August and I have yet to post myself....guess I should get to it
